Intention Setting

 Welcome back luvs,

Today I wanted to talk about the powerful practice of intention setting. The practice of setting an intention for your day & all of it's transformative benefits.  



What it is? 

An intention is a guiding principle for how you want to live and show up in the world or any area of our life. Oftentimes people confuse this with goal setting because it sharing a lot of similar attributes, however it is not the same.

When you set a intention for the day, you are bringing a awareness to an aspect of your wellbeing (emotionally, mentally, spiritually, physically) that you're wanting to improve or change for the better. An intention is to help you align better with your beliefs & self. It's a mindset or state of being that is driven by purpose and is evoked by our feelings.


How does it work? 

Setting an intention before you start your day creates clarity & focus within yourself & helps you manifest it into reality. 

Intentions are typically set around our values, emotions and beliefs that we want to practice and attain. Intentions help us create balance within ourselves, keeps us mindful & hold us accountable for our wellbeing. 

Intentions are simple & positive words or phrases that align with beliefs/values that we want for ourselves. For example :

"be courageous” "strength" "to be more present for friends/family" “community”


Journaling Exercise To Help You Create Intentions Specific To You


  • What would you like to build, create, or nurture in your life?
  • What would you like to let go of?
  • Who would you like to forgive in your life?
  • How do you feel when you are your happiest self?
  • What makes you proud?
  • What word(s) would you like to align yourself with?


Use these questions to help you set intentions for yourself daily. I would suggest only setting one intention per day to work on.
